Sidh Makardhwaj is a popular Kupipakwa rasayan, prepared with Swarna (gold), parade (mercury), Gandhara (sulfur) in a specific ratio mentioned in Ayurvedic Formulary of India. It has been used in the Indian Systems of Medicine for centuries with claimed efficacy and safety for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, neurological disorders, as a Rasayana for vigor and longevity of life. It is prepared by a specific process of constant heating for more than 24 h converting it in a stable compound (mercury sulfide).

Siddha Makardhwaj is an Ayurvedic medicine, with herbal and mineral ingredients, in tablet form.
